Flamingo Cam at DC Zoo

I love flamingos. I have been enamored of them since I first saw them as a kid - probably in an illustration from Alice in Wonderland. Here is a great streaming video cam from the National Zoo in Washington DC showing these beautiful birds in action - it's the flamingo cam. I wish I could put it up in a little corner of my computer and just watch it all day long.

RandyCam

I've been tuning in to the RandyCam for quite a while now. The premise of the original RandyCam was simple - there was a cat named Randy, there was a cat bed by a window, and there was a camera. You could check and see if Randy was hanging out in his cat bed sleeping or otherwise occupying himself. Randy was one cute cat. Sometimes he was there and sometimes he wasn't and that was the fun of it. Randy passed away in 2003 and I felt really sad when I popped into the site and read the news. However, the camera is now trained on Cali, a calico cat. I'm glad as the cam is a great concept. There is a great gallery of prior cam images and a nice history of the site available. The quality of the image is good and you can open the cam in a little pop up window and watch the RandyCam all day if you like. Bios of Randy and Cali are included on the site.
